In December I took part in an Open Studio weekend at Project Workshops in Quarley, Hampshire. I was delighted to be able to spend a weekend chatting to artists and art appreciators. There was quite a bad storm throughout the weekend, on the Saturday especially but luckily people did venture out.
I exhibited several of my detailed Forest of Dean inspired drawings on the wall and had a table top with framed ink and brush drawings, my largest drawing ‘Sculpture Trail Ferns’ as well as new unframed work.
I was so pleased to have sold three original drawings and to have had some wonderful feedback. It was great seeing people take a really good look at my work, especially the detailed drawings. As an artist working without a dedicated studio space it was wonderful to be able to exhibit at Project Workshops and be surrounded by other creatives.
